IS SMS KILLING THE LANGUAGE ?
Question1) What did Dr K.K Seet thinks of students using the SMS language in their schoolwork and teachers-pupil relationship ?

4) How did Nicholas's mother react to her son's using SMS language ? Give her contrasting views .Ans: 1) He don't agree on students using SMS language in their homework . He believes that there should be a certain degree of social decorum and such SMS language would take student-teacher relationship to a level of casualness . He also thinks that using these abbreviations would destroy the visual qualities of the words .
2) She wrote to The Strait Times complaining that SMS language has been repeatedly screened in the sms bar during the weekly episodes of America Idol on channel 5 . She thinks that such messages should not be broadcast on national TV as an English-language station should promote good english to the audience .
3) Nicholas spelt "rocks" as "rawks" because he feels the creative spelling will make the words more aesthetically pleasing . It was partly his habit too .
